In the 1970s, Lloyd began building acoustic guitars, crafting instruments for renowned artists like Ry Cooder, Jackson Browne, Graham Nash, and Janis Ian. His passion for the guitar soon grew into a mission to faithfully amplify its natural sound for live performance. This pursuit led to the development of the LB6, LR Baggs’ first pickup, and marked the beginning of our company’s innovations in acoustic amplification.

Over the years, LR Baggs has redefined live acoustic performance with groundbreaking advancements that now extend to the AEG-1, designed by Lloyd Baggs and produced in collaboration with our great friends at Crafter Guitars.
